G16's School-Based Family Resource Center, in partnership with the Jonathan D + Mark C. Lewis Foundation and the Town of Parachute, invites you to the 1st Annual MayFest, a youth-led community event. May 3, 2025 at Cottonwood Park (100 La Plata Circle, ParachuteCO 81635).

The event is designed to bring youth, their families, and community organizations together to learn about local resources, career opportunities, and internships, all while enjoying a day of fun activities. 

Here is the schedule of events:

  • 8AM 5K Check-in. Register here: https://runsignup.com/Race/CO/Parachute/MayFestFunRun
  • 9AM 5K Race benefitting the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Garfield County
  • 9AM Pancake Breakfast benefiting PEO IW Chapter- CASH ONLY!!
  • 9AM Non-profit/Vendor check-in
  • 10AM - 12PM Show and Shine (car show)
  • 11AM- Food truck check-in
  • 12PM- Food trucks open for service.
  • 11AM - 12PM Opening acts from G16 schools
  • 12PM - 12:30PM GVRC Dancers
  • 12PM - 3PM- Drop-In Kickball hosted by Parachute/Battlement Mesa Parks & Recreation District
  • 2PM-8PM Battle of the Bands
  • Headliner- Peach Street Revival- 8:30pm- 10pm

If your organization or business would like to set up a booth at the event, please RSVP by April 26th to confirm your participation by filling out this form: https://forms.gle/inDDkPSZvHzmqudo7. You can provide information about your organization, including resources for youth and their families, or sell your products. We kindly ask that you bring a table, chair, and bilingual materials, and consider offering an activity or game for the youth at your booth. We ask that pop-ups/canopies be sized no larger than 10'x10'. Booths can start setting up at 9 a.m. and stay as long as you want. The event will end roughly around 10 p.m. 

In addition to booth participation, there are other ways you can contribute, including making a monetary donation to the event or providing donated items for participant drawings to win throughout the day. Contact the Resource Center at 970-285-5700 Ext. 5190.
